APCO Worldwide Brings on Christina Saull to Head Firm’s Expanding Transportation Portfolio

Washington – February 2, 2023: Communications and transportation industry veteran Christina Saull joined APCO Worldwide as a senior director in Washington, D.C., Licy M. Do Canto, managing director of APCO’s Washington headquarters office, announced today. With expertise in strategic communications, media relations and issues management, Saull brings nearly 20 years of award-winning public relations and public affairs experience to the global firm’s expanding transportation portfolio.

“Christina has a proven track record of providing strategic communications counsel, including crisis management, media relations and community engagement,” Do Canto said. “Christina brings a fresh perspective on key challenges for companies in transportation, critical infrastructure, travel and tourism and global supply chain. Her leadership furthers APCO’s position within the transportation marketplace, and I sincerely welcome her to the APCO family.”

Alongside an established team of colleagues, Saull will bring a global perspective to clients in these growing, complex industries, understanding the intersection of government and the private sector, and focusing on sustainable technology innovations which will rapidly change these sectors in the decades to come.

Saull joins the APCO leadership team in the Washington office, including Do Canto; J. Todd Inman, former chief of staff to the U.S. Department of Transportation and senior director in the Office of the Executive Chairman; Joanna London and Dan Meyers, co-deputy managing directors of the Washington office; Ami Copeland, head of the D.C. Public Affairs practice; Dan Scandling, head of the Government Relations practice; Nina Verghese, senior director and head of advocacy for the Public Affairs practice; Seleana Wright, senior director and head of Corporate Reputation and DE&I; and Brian Keeter, co-lead of the Cyber Protection and Reputation team.

Prior to joining APCO, Saull served as the director of Corporate Communications at the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, which operates Reagan National and Dulles International airports and the Dulles Toll Road. In this role, she drove internal and external communications, leading crisis communication planning and response, proactive and reactive media relations and serving as lead Public Information Officer and spokesperson for the organization. During her nearly two-decade career in Washington, she has worked in the public and private sectors, including roles in communications strategy for a Fortune 50 company’s global supply chain; at a global public relations agency leading government, non-profit and corporate clients; and driving media advocacy for a national health nonprofit. She began her career on Capitol Hill, working for members in both the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives.
