Dan Smith brings a unique digital-first, public affairs mindset to assist clients with coalition management, grassroots and grasstops mobilization, stakeholder engagement and integrated campaigns with a focus on advocacy, advisory and brand reputation. He has nearly a decade of professional experience advising diverse clientele across multiple industries and policy arenas – including energy and resource sustainability, global consumer packaged goods, corporate social responsibility, health care and telecommunications – and leading major digital campaigns in the United States and internationally for public and private-sector organizations. Dan is a director in APCO’s Washington, D.C. headquarters, specializing in digital, energy and public affairs.

He earned his Bachelor of Arts with honors in English from Furman University and his Master of Arts in Mass Communications from the University of Florida’s College of Journalism and Communications in 2022.
