Deanna Javadi is a strategic communications professional with a unique background in international relations and public policy. Since joining APCO in January 2018, Deanna has supported multiple crisis communications and issue management projects helping clients address complex issues and navigate reputational challenges in the public and private space. In addition to providing crisis support, Deanna assists clients with reputation management, message and brand development, external and internal communications strategy, event planning and execution and market research and media analysis.
She is a highly skilled client strategist and project manager, helping clients coordinate cross-functionally, build organizational supports and information infrastructures, and drive efficiencies in complex environments. She is a director in the Crisis Management and Litigation Communications practice based in APCO’s Washington, D.C. headquarters.

Prior to joining APCO, Deanna worked as a public relations fellow at The Podesta Group where she supported corporate and political interest groups on addressing international and policy-related issues, tracking legislative developments, and building issue advocacy campaigns.
Deanna received her bachelor’s degree from Lehigh University and master’s degree from Johns Hopkins University with a concentration in international relations and economics.
