The environment for multinational companies in China has become increasingly complex in the past few years as the country grapples with restructuring its economy. Nowhere is this clearer than in the case of technology MNCs. Subject to policies stipulating the use of domestic products, efforts to acquire technology through joint ventures or M&A, and emerging competitors, technology MNCs have a tough road to navigate.
