Bruce Fu is director and co-lead of APCO Worldwide’s global Technology practice based in Beijing. He has a deep knowledge of China’s technical standards, IPR and competition-related issues in the ICT sector.
At APCO, Mr. Fu provides clients with ongoing support on market research, operations management, issues monitoring and policy analysis across a variety of sectors.
Prior to joining APCO, Mr. Fu was a business manager at the European Chamber, where he worked closely with the European telecommunications industry by lobbying China’s telecommunications policies and regulations. He partnered with ICT Working Group members such as Nokia, Ericsson, NSN, Sony Ericsson and SAP on telecommunications regulatory policies and TBT/Standards. He also directly engaged Chinese authorities such as MOFCOM, SAIC and NDRC on antitrust issues related to implementing rules of Chinese anti-monopoly law.
Mr. Fu also conducted a comprehensive research project on the Chinese health care market for an international consulting firm based in Antwerp, Belgium.
Mr. Fu obtained master’s degrees in European studies and European modern history from the Catholic University of Leuven. He is fluent in English and Chinese and speaks intermediate French.
