Founder of Time and Place

Mitch Willey is the president and founder of Time and Place, where he parlayed his 20-year career in international law and his passion for the preservation and renovation of historic properties into a unique, luxury travel offering. He launched Time and Place in 2001, which offers the amenities, convenience and security of a five-star hotel in the privacy of spectacular homes.

Throughout his career, Mr. Willey has capitalized on his extensive experience in international law. As senior counselor with APCO, Mr. Willey represented and advised numerous public and private entities worldwide in complex commercial transactions in the hospitality, banking, telecommunications, and consumer products industries throughout Europe and Latin America.

Prior to joining APCO, Willey was the managing partner for a large, multinational law firm located in Washington, and served as chief international counsel and director of government affairs for Europe, Canada and the Americas for a $7 billion multinational company.

Mr. Willey graduated with honors from Wesleyan University where he was a Davenport Scholar and was awarded the Thorndike Prize for Scholarship. He holds his Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration from the University of Virginia where he was president of the Student Legal Form.
