Samantha Schmidt provides media relations counsel and day-to-day project management leadership for clients across a variety of sectors including health, wellness, sustainability, construction, food, consumer goods and more. She sits on APCO’s corporate reputation and media practices and is based in Chicago. Sam has a special interest in health and sustainability and has worked with many clients in both of those spaces, providing award-winning work. She also has experience in internal communications and change management, working closely on projects with the Gagen MacDonald team. She was selected to participate in APCO’s Global Exchange Program in 2023, traveling abroad to London to work closely with others across the APCO network and strengthening her relationships across the globe. Prior to APCO, Sam gained experience in media relations for tech, startups and health and wellness clients working at multiple agencies. She has a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations with a double minor in Business and Communications from Iowa State University.
