Project Consultant

Maya Shinoda, a project consultant in APCO’s Tokyo office, specializes in stakeholder engagement, media relations and strategic monitoring. With a strong commitment to corporate social responsibility, she designs and executes STEM education programs and spearheads initiatives addressing aging society challenges in collaboration with local governments. In the health sector, she conducts in-depth stakeholder analyses, monitors policy developments, advances product awareness and manages government affairs. Through these multifaceted efforts, she plays a pivotal role in driving public awareness, fostering informed discourse and mobilizing collective action toward meaningful societal impact.

Prior to joining APCO, Maya served as an intern at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Japan Office, where she gauged experiences in stakeholder engagement by coordination initiatives focused on sustainable intellectual property and innovation. In this capacity, she facilitated the engagement event of 50 partners, fostering dialogue and collaboration on contributions to sustainable innovation and technology. Additionally, she was responsible for creative content development, including graphic and video production, to enhance the visibility and impact of WIPO’s initiatives.

Maya holds a master’s degree in International Relations/Political Science from the Graduate Institute of International Development Studies in Geneva and a Bachelor’s degree in International Liberal Studies from Waseda University where she majored International Relations and minored Peace Studies
