Julie Jack, senior director in APCO’s New York office, has worked in corporate responsibility for more than 15 years and is passionate about the role that the private sector can play in building a better world. Her particular expertise is the intersection of social issues and corporate strategy. She has helped companies broker partnerships, develop campaigns, craft policies and communicate and engage on issues of shared importance to business and society.
Ms Jack is also a seasoned client service professional, having managed complex international, cross-office and multi-service assignments and teams. She has experience across a breadth of functions including corporate responsibility, reputation, public affairs, issues and crisis management and stakeholder engagement. Julie was one of the founding members of APCO’s New York office and has helped build agency’s footprint in the market through support of clients that include Mars, Inc., GE, PepsiCo, and Disney.
Ms. Jack re-joins APCO from MSL GROUP where she led the agency’s corporate practice in New York. Prior to joining APCO in 2005, Ms. Jack worked at Burson-Marsteller where she was a director in the public affairs practice. She also led corporate reputation work at the market research firm Wirthlin Worldwide. She started her career in Washington, D.C., working for the paper and wood products industry where she developed a sustainable forestry standard that is now a widely used certification mark.
Ms. Jack received her undergraduate degree from the University of California at Davis and an MBA from Loyola College.
