Caroline Wolter Starke, senior director in APCO Worldwide’s New York office, has more than 10 years of experience helping organizations and individuals better tell their stories. Inspired by the power of the written and spoken word to impact perceptions, Ms. Starke specializes in creating public relations campaigns that build and preserve reputations, inspire audiences who matter, and leverage the full spectrum of communications tools and channels. She has led media relations, executive positioning and thought leadership campaigns for organizations in the midst of dramatic change – from consumer finance to health reform to housing finance and more.
Prior to joining APCO, Ms. Starke was a vice president at Robinson Lerer Montgomery, where she worked with Fortune 50 and Fortune 500 companies in times of transition to both defend and build their reputations. Previously, she managed both internal and external communication in the Americas for international investment bank Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein. She also led consumer media campaigns while at Edelman Worldwide, and both brand marketing and corporate media campaigns while at Burson-Marsteller.
Ms. Starke graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English and communications from Tufts University, where she received cum laude honors.
