Health Care Megaphone

Briefing on the Medicare for All Proposals

April 29, 2019

Medicare for All is the top health care issue both on the campaign trail and in the halls of Congress. But it means different things to different groups and there is much disagreement about how it would work, how much it would cost and how much disruption it would cause. The Brazda Breakfast briefing, a regular briefing for health care media, sponsored by APCO in conjunction with the Alliance for Health Policy, hosted a briefing on April 25th to discuss these questions and others.

Panelists included:

  • Tom Scully, J.D., Former Administrator, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services under President George W. Bush
  • Marilyn Tavenner, MHA, Former Administrator, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services under President Barack Obama
  • Mark Miller, Ph.D., Executive Vice President of Health Care, Arnold Ventures
  • Karen Pollitz, MPP, Senior Fellow, Health Reform and Private Insurance, Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation

You can watch video of the full briefing via C-SPAN here.
