Project Consultant

Wahid Azaoui is a public affairs specialist, with a deep understanding of the French, European and British political landscapes. Having worked across multiple markets, he has a particular knowledge of the tech, financial services and sustainability sectors. Wahid joins APCO as a project consultant based in Paris, where he will be working on several public affairs and strategic communications projects.

Prior to joining APCO, Wahid was a public affairs consultant at Boury, Tallon & Associés in Paris. In this role, he advised international clients on French political and regulatory matters, working on high-profile legislations such as the SREN Bill and the Finance Bill. Wahid also served as a consultant at Dentons Global Advisors in London, where he honed his skills in the tech sector, crafting effective lobbying strategies in response to the Online Safety Law and the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumer Bill. Prior to that, he worked as a parliamentary researcher for City Minister Bim Afolami MP, co-authoring the report “Banking for Britain: The role of financial services in levelling up”, which became an essential blueprint for the UK Government’s Levelling Up White Paper. During his academic career, Wahid also assisted Secretary of State Brune Poirson with her landmark circular economy bill.

Wahid provides diligent political and media monitoring, leveraging his analytical skills to ensure timely and accurate delivery for his clients. His diverse and international background enables him to tailor public affairs strategies to the unique needs of each situation. Wahid holds a master’s degree from the London School of Economics and a bachelor’s degree from University College London. He is fluent in French, English and Spanish, and has basic knowledge of Russian and Arabic.
