Sofia Macchi is an experienced corporate reputation advisor, specializing in corporate and strategic communications, media relations, crisis communication and social media. As a Consultant in APCO’s Milan office, and a member of the Corporate Communications team, Sofia has collaborated with clients across various sectors, with a particular focus on food, retail and travel. She excels in developing tailored outreach strategies that effectively distinguish and differentiate her clients in competitive markets.

Before joining APCO, Sofia began her career at Costa Cruises as a brand and PR trainee in Genoa. She then returned to Milan, where she worked for a PR agency specializing in corporate and financial communication. In this role, she advised multinational companies during their IPOs on the Italian stock exchange. Additionally, Sofia spent a year and a half working with travel companies as a travel coordinator and associate charter cruise expert, where she defined itineraries and organized special events and experiences for incentive clients both onboard and ashore.
Sofia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and New Media and a Master’s degree in Tourism Economy. She is a native Italian speaker, fluent in English, and has an intermediate proficiency in French. Passionate about food and travel, Sofia is also enthusiastic about new technologies, particularly artificial intelligence, and how they can transform industries. Her diverse educational background and language skills enhance her ability to navigate complex communication challenges in the global marketplace.
