Rojas

Former undersecretary of international trade and president of the National Commission of Foreign Trade of Argentina

Shunko Rojas is co-founder and managing partner of Quipu, with extensive international experience in trade, investment, public affairs and international development. He has delivered successful projects for global companies, government leaders and international financial institutions.

Bringing extensive expertise in international trade negotiations, investment policy, trade facilitation, public-private partnerships and economic development strategy, Shunko played a key role in major trade agreements such as the European Union–Mercosur Free Trade Agreement and the Japan–Argentina Bilateral Investment Treaty. He has also led efforts in trade defense, facilitation and export promotion.

He also served as under secretary of international trade and president of the National Commission of Foreign Trade of Argentina, overseeing the country’s international trade policy and strategy. He was a specialist at the Inter-American Development Bank, where he led the creation of the Americas Business Dialogue and managed the CEO Summit of the Americas. Earlier in his career, he worked at the OECD Development Center in Paris, Brazil’s National Development Bank and the law firm Chadbourne and Parke in Washington, D.C.

Shunko holds a Doctor of Laws (S.J.D.) from Harvard Law School, a master’s in global politics from the London School of Economics and a law degree from Universidad de Buenos Aires.
