Sharon Segel
Senior Associate Director
Sharon Segel, a senior associate director, in APCO Worldwide’s Tel Aviv office with an extensive background in media management, strategic communications and public affairs spanning 15 years. At APCO, her work focuses on driving strategic communications, media relations, public positioning and government relations on behalf of a number of clients in the tech, strategic philanthropy and government sectors.
Prior to joining APCO, Ms. Segel was the Press Officer at the British Embassy in Tel Aviv where she was responsible for the Embassy’s media relationships and outreach, as well as supporting communications efforts around senior ministerial visits. She also served as the British Ambassador liaison for the UK Jewish Community and the lead on Anti-Semitism and Holocaust Commemoration, where she led on outreach to UK government officials and civil society.
Previously, Ms. Segel worked for The Israel Project as account manager for key influential media from P5+1 countries, where she was responsible for building, developing and managing relationships with top tier media, and packaging and pitching stories to them. Ms. Segel also worked for Hadassah a leading American women’s advocacy organization. Prior to moving to Israel in 2006, Ms. Segel worked for former Member of Parliament Andrew Dismore and the Parliamentary Committee Against Anti-Semitism Foundation – the secretariat providing support for the All Party Parliamentary Group on Anti-Semitism.
Ms. Segel holds both a BA in History and Politics and a MSc in American Politics from the University of London.
