Sara Amadei serves as managing director of APCO’s Italy operations leading the two offices of Rome and Milan with a team of over 50 consultants. Ms. Amadei joined APCO in 2018 as manager of the Milan office and applies her diverse skillset engaging with clients operating in different industries – from food to retail and luxury – and supporting them in a number of respects, including corporate communication, CSR, public relations, crisis management and CEO positioning. Thanks to her 15+ years of public relations and corporate communications experience both in client-facing and in-house operations, Ms. Amadei is able address her clients’ needs with insight and reliability. She is APCO’s Food, Consumer & Retail practice lead for Europe.
Ms. Amadei is an accomplished communications professional with sound expertise working across regions and managing international teams. She is a multilingual leader, able to confidently engage with the top-management of international corporations and to guide operative units in delivering business objectives.
Before joining APCO, Ms. Amadei worked at Kering Eyewear as the head of PR & communication, as well as in one of the main players in the spirits industry as a public relations manager, building from scratch a network of 15 agencies worldwide executing and managing the global PR strategy. Ms. Amadei also accrued several years of experience working in two major public relations and communications firms both in Italy and in the UK.
Ms. Amadei’s academic path spans three different countries. She holds a graduate degree with honors in political science, international economics and diplomatic relations from the University of Trieste, spending one year at Sciences Po in Paris, and a master’s degree in management from ESCP Europe, which she completed with merit in the Turin and London campuses.
