He also gained valuable corporate communications experience at Roche Diagnostics in Tokyo, focusing on internal communications, corporate reputation and strategic messaging at an international level. Earlier in his career, he supported clients in the energy, public sector and agriscience industries, contributing to advocacy campaigns, stakeholder outreach and political consultancy projects in Germany.
Roland has international work and study experience in Europe, Asia and the United States, which has shaped his global perspective and intercultural understanding. He is fluent in German and English and conversational in Japanese.
