Obaydah Al Namer is a Senior Digital Account Director at APCO’s Abu Dhabi office, with over a decade of experience in digital communications and public affairs. He is recognized for his ability to develop and implement strategic stakeholder engagement programs, working closely with senior decision-makers and government officials across the government, defense, sustainability and energy sectors.

Obaydah has successfully led major national campaigns, including Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (2015, 2017, 2019), the launch of EDGE Group in 2019, and ongoing communications strategies for EDGE. He played a central role in the #4Humanity campaign with G42, which supported the world’s first Phase III clinical trial of a COVID-19 inactivated vaccine—an effort acclaimed with multiple industry awards.

Additionally, he was instrumental in the presidential campaign of H.E. Dr. Abdulla Al Mandous, resulting in his election as President of the World Meteorological Organization in 2024, with APCO’s work recognized by a MEPRA Award. Obaydah has provided strategic communications counsel to several UAE ministries, including advisory on the UAE Fuel Prices Deregulation communications strategy in 2015.

He has worked closely with government entities to launch a range of national initiatives and has managed crisis communications for key UAE government projects, ensuring effective stakeholder alignment and public trust during critical moments.

Obaydah holds an MA in International Relations from Middlesex University Dubai. He is dedicated to fostering strong relationships with stakeholders and delivering communications solutions that achieve meaningful and lasting impact.

Obaydah is also a passionate Liverpool FC supporter for more than 33 years.
