Nozomi Sasao brings a strategic approach to public affairs and stakeholder engagement to her role as a Consultant based in APCO’s Tokyo office. Specializing in the health sector, she brings deep experience designing and leading comprehensive advocacy campaigns. Over the years, Nozomi has built understanding of the health policy and regulatory landscape through continuous monitoring of political, media and industry developments. By effectively targeting and engaging key stakeholders, she is able to uncover insights and navigate complex systems to drive meaningful outcomes for clients.
Nozomi is a former socio-cultural program officer at Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat, where she developed and executed impactful exchange programs for journalists, students and government officials from Japan, China and Korea. In this role, Nozomi played a key part in fostering regional cooperation and mutual understanding through cultural and professional exchange. She also supported the logistical and administrative aspects of trilateral government mechanisms, from high-level ministerial meetings to the coordination and development of joint research projects.
Nozomi holds a Master’s degree in International Studies from the Public Policy and Social Research program and a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from International Christian University (ICU), where she cultivated a foundation in cross-cultural collaboration and policy analysis.
