Mohamed Bahaa is managing director of Public Affairs for the MENA region at APCO Worldwide and co-founder and CEO at NGC International Advisory – an APCO Worldwide Company. He brings more than a decade of relevant experience in the areas of public policy, government relations and regulatory affairs in the Middle East, helping over 50 multinational companies from more than eight industries to manage their PPGR priorities across the region.
Throughout the past decade, Mr. Bahaa has supported multinational organizations and policy makers shape strategies and public policies in the MENA region in investment laws, tax policies, mobility regulations, data privacy laws, energy, PPA regulations and more.
With practical experience in professional services, agriculture, construction, trading, AI and education, Mr. Bahaa started his career as the research assistant to the associate dean of the School of Business at the American University in Cairo, then joined Management inSites, a U.S.-based consulting firm in 2009. In 2010 he co-founded his first company, Archimede Middle East, a U.S.-based firm operating in the Middle East.
In 2012, he founded the Egyptian Vegetables Group (EGY VEGGIE), managing and cultivating more than 10 different crops over 500 acres of land, marketed in Egypt and the Middle East. In 2013, he co-founded Agrovate LL, an Egypt-based fresh produce consolidator as well as N Gage Consulting as the first Government Relations and lobbying firm in Egypt. As a previous executive, Mr. Bahaa has supported the company to grow regionally through setting up the GCC operations in November 2018.
Mr. Bahaa holds a Master’s Degree in Finance from Harvard University, a Master’s Degree in Economics and a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the American University in Cairo, has completed the Mastering Trade Policy Program at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and holds a certificate of International Arbitration from Cairo University.
