Karen Anciaux is a member of the APCO’s Global Solutions practice, where she focuses on foreign affairs, geopolitics and Benelux-related issues. She has a thorough understanding of the institutional, political and media landscape in the Benelux and at EU level.
Karen is an associate director and is based in London. Throughout her career at APCO, which she started in the Brussels office, she has worked on communication and public affairs programs for governments, political leaders, NGOs and multinational companies across a broad range of areas, including reputation and crisis, global political campaigning, litigation communications and sovereign financial communications.
Prior to joining APCO, Karen worked as a junior professional in delegation (JPD) for the Delegation of the European Union to Madagascar and the Comoros, where she dealt with CFSP, migration, environment, democracy and human rights issues. From 2016 to 2017, she was a trainee at the EU Delegation to the United Nations, working in the UN Security Council, UN Peacebuilding Commission and First Committee on Disarmament and International Security.
Karen holds master’s degrees in public administration from Universität Konstanz and in comparative and international politics from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven. She is a native Belgian and her mother tongue is Dutch. She is also fluent in English, French and German.
