Jon Weiner is an experienced healthcare advisor, specializing in corporate reputation, thought leadership, media relations and issues management. As a Director, Health in APCO’s Raleigh office and a member of the APCO Health team, he holds leadership roles across engagements with a variety of the firm’s core health and health system clients.
With nearly 20 years of professional experience spanning both agency and in-house positions, Jon helps clients align communication programs with business and core policy objectives. While the bulk of his career has been dedicated in healthcare communications, he brings a well-rounded perspective pulling from experience in the education, technology, agriculture and financial services sectors.
Prior to joining APCO, he was a vice president at Golin Health, a global public relations agency working to bring health within reach for more. He also previously served as a vice president within the health practice at Ketchum and as an associate vice president at Credit Suisse, where he was responsible for communications within the bank’s risk and risk reporting functions.
