Grace Mayhew brings a deep understanding of Japan’s societal and policy environment, combined with a global perspective and strong project management skills to her role as a Senior Consultant in APCO’s Tokyo office. She specializes in public affairs strategy and stakeholder engagement to build trust across borders. Grace advises clients across sectors including technology, health and consumer services. She has supported government, corporate and nonprofit clients alike in navigating complex communications, reputation and regulatory challenges. She also leads Learning & Development for the Tokyo office, designing initiatives to support team growth and knowledge-sharing.
Prior to joining APCO, Grace worked in investment banking at the Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ and led hospitality and real estate projects at a Japanese developer-operator, overseeing the launch of hotels and co-working spaces across the country.
Grace holds a degree in Japanese Studies from Oxford University, where she was awarded the Harold Bailey Prize for excellence in Asian Studies. She is fluent in English, Japanese and French.
