Gosia Pekala is a trusted advisor on issues related to international trade, global economy, transatlantic relations and economic development. A Senior Associate Director within the Office of the Chairman, she leads strategic client advisory accounts while managing global teams based in APCO’s offices around the world.
Prior to joining APCO, Gosia worked at Gartner, where she was a member of the risk practice. She conducted research and advised C-suite level clients on best practices in policy risk and other risk management issues. She authored a quarterly report on the emerging risks in geopolitics, macroeconomics and business. She also previously worked for the European Commission in Brussels where she provided policy and programmatic support for the EU’s regional cooperation program in the Baltic Sea Region.
Gosia holds a Master of Arts in International Economics/Trade and European Studies from American University in Washington and a Master of Arts in International Relations from Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland. Prior to relocating to the United States, she lived, studied and worked in Poland, France and Belgium. She is a native of Poland, speaks Polish and English fluently and has a good knowledge of French.
