Erin Cooper is an Associate Director with a background in political communications, based in New York. She leads media and thought leadership efforts, helping clients elevate their visibility through thoughtful media strategies and high-impact public engagement. Erin works with global foundations and philanthropies, providing counsel around major moments such as the UN General Assembly, World Economic Forum and COP. She stays closely attuned to both traditional and emerging media trends, offering clients timely insights that help position their initiatives for maximum resonance. Erin also maintains strong relationships with reporters around the world, helping clients connect with key audiences in an evolving media landscape.

Before joining APCO, Erin built her communications expertise in Washington, D.C., working at public affairs and communications firms, including Edelman, and on Capitol Hill as a media fellow in a congressional office. In these roles, she worked directly with journalists and developed a range of communications materials to support legislative and policy priorities.
Erin holds a Master’s degree in Political Communication from American University in Washington, D.C., and a Bachelor’s degree from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia.
