Enrica Mertens is a consultant at APCO based in Berlin specializing in international trade and business advisory.

Prior to joining APCO, Ms. Mertens worked as project assistant in the Strategic Partnerships department at the Munich Security Conference (MSC) where she was shared responsibility for managing the partnership portfolio including both institutions and corporations to the MSC. She supported in the project and event management of the MSC’s flagship conference.

Prior to her role at the MSC, Ms. Mertens worked in Sydney as a consultant at the German-Australian Chamber of Industry and Commerce where she advised small and medium-sized German companies on their market entry plans in Australia. Her tasks included conducting stakeholder analyses, political advisory to key accounts, market and competition research, as well as the organization of delegation trips with company representatives.

Ms. Mertens graduated with a degree in International Relations from the Rijksuniversiteit in Groningen, followed by a Master of Science in Development Studies from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
