Enrica Mertens brings deep expertise at the intersection of global policy, strategic public affairs, and international stakeholder engagement. She has a strong track record of advising clients – particularly in the defence and security, global health and technology sectors – on strategic public affairs, reputation management and stakeholder positioning in complex geopolitical environments.
Enrica currently serves as an Senior Associate Director, based in New York after previously working out of the firm’s Berlin office. She is a member of APCO’s Geo-Commerce practice, and part of the Strategic Partnerships and Global Engagement practice, where she plays a key role in advancing the firm’s relationships with major global fora, including the Munich Security Conference and the World Health Summit. In this capacity, she also supports clients in shaping their presence and programming around these high-level international engagements.
Before joining APCO, Enrica worked for the Strategic Partnerships department of the Munich Security Conference, contributing to the organisation’s high-level international initiatives. Earlier in her career, she worked in Sydney as a consultant with the German-Australian Chamber of Industry and Commerce, where she advised German SMEs on market entry strategies in Australia.
