Emily Coghlan, director in APCO Worldwide’s Chicago office, provides strategic communication counsel for clients across a variety of industries including higher education, nonprofit, health care, technology, chemical, automotive, food and beverage, performing arts and legal.
She has helped a variety of companies and organizations plan and execute global media relations and executive positioning programs as well as community engagement initiatives. Her work also includes campaign development, internal communications, influencer identification and research.
Before she joined APCO, Ms. Coghlan was a senior publicist with Planned Television Arts (PTA), a division of Ruder Finn, where she coordinated national media campaigns for spokespersons, celebrities, politicians, authors, corporations and nonprofit organizations.
Ms. Coghlan received her Bachelor of Arts in English from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C., where she graduated magna cum laude.
