Alex Gibson works with clients to identify how they protect their brand from competitors, how and who they should engage with to build support for hot button issues, and how they can navigate rapidly changing political dynamics. This work requires finding each client’s unique story, finding the nexus point for communications, coalition building and thorough, fact-based, research. As a Senior Consultant in APCO’s Washington office, he has supported clients across multiple industries, such as telecommunications, aviation, infrastructure, shipping and more.
Alex’s approach is informed by his experience as a grassroots organizer and as a political researcher. Prior to entering consulting, Alex worked in Florida, South Carolina, New Jersey and Texas supporting grassroots efforts to enroll individuals and families in healthcare, advocate for immigrant rights, and elect candidates from the county level to the Presidency. Upon moving to Washington D.C., Alex pivoted to opposition research, tapping into his academic expertise from college.
