Richard V. Allen

In Memoriam: Richard V. Allen

November 19, 2024

APCO is saddened to announce the passing of longtime colleague Richard V. Allen. Richard was a valued member of APCO’s International Advisory Council, joining APCO in 2002 and providing our clients with sound, strategic advice throughout his 22 years at APCO.

Richard was a true giant in the diplomatic world, serving as National Security Advisor to President Ronald Reagan, playing a major role in shaping the Administration’s foreign policy during the early years of the Cold War. He leaves a lasting legacy of contributions to the United States across national security and foreign affairs. More importantly, we remember Richard as a valued friend and trusted partner who always took time to share his insights and his lifetime of experience for those who followed. We send our heartfelt condolences to his family at this difficult time.
