Former Ambassador of Thailand to Pakistan
Ambassador Tomwit Jarnson was a career diplomat of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand. Ambassador Jarnson held positions in the Department of International Economic Affairs, the Department of ASEAN Affairs, the Department of Information, and the Department of South Asian, Middle Eastern and African Affairs. He served in many overseas diplomatic missions. He was Ambassador of Thailand to Pakistan, and Consul-General of Thailand in Mumbai, India. He also served at Royal Thai Embassy and Mission of Thailand to the European Union in Brussels, Belgium, and Royal Thai Embassy in Ottawa, Canada.
After his foreign service career, he was the director of government affairs and public policy of the American Chamber of Commerce in Thailand.
Presently, Ambassador Jarnson is a senior research fellow of the German-Southeast Asian Center of Excellence for Public Policy and Good Governance (CPG), attached to the Faculty of Law of Thammasat University in Bangkok, Thailand.
He received his B.A. degree at the University of Arkansas and a diploma from the Civil Service Executive Development Program, Office of the Civil Service Commission of Thailand.
