Timea Varga is a project assistant at APCO Worldwide’s Brussels office, working as part of the research team for the ICT and copyright practice. Ms. Varga provides support for the ICT team in the implementation of their campaigns, being focused mainly on cybersecurity, copyright and data protection matters.
With a background in Law, Psychology and Global Governance, Ms. Varga was working as a trainee at the European Parliament and the European Delegation to Singapore, gaining significant experience in the field of ICT and international relations. She conducted researches together with Interpol’s Cyber division in Singapore were her main focus was on transnational cybercrime and crisis management. In the European Parliament, Ms. Varga mostly concentrated on online privacy and data protection issues in the field of ICT and robotics.
Ms. Varga received her Bachelor’s Degree in Law in Cluj-Napoca (Romania), and her Master’s degree in Cultural Diplomacy and Global Governance at the University of Siena (Italy) and the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy in Berlin (Germany). She is fluent in English, Romanian and Hungarian.
