Swati Sudhakaran is a project consultant at APCO Worldwide and has been working in APCO’s India offices since May 2018. She is involved in policy research and advocacy and handles clients from the diverse fields of technology, FMCG, transportation among others.
Before joining APCO, Ms. Sudhakaran worked briefly with the office of current Union Minister for Water Resources, Mr. Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, where she led a team of researchers to make policy linkages to existing issues in the field of agriculture, digital literacy and air pollution. She also worked in leading research think tanks such as Janaagraha – Centre for Citizenship and Democracy and RIS (Research and Information Systems for Developing Countries), affiliated with the Ministry of External Affairs. She has also been associated with a Bangalore-based political campaigning agency for a short duration as their lead researcher. Additionally, she was a trainee reporter with one of India’s leading newspapers—The Hindu.
Ms. Sudhakaran completed her graduation in Journalism and Mass Communications from the prestigious Delhi University and holds a Master’s in Public Policy from Mount Carmel College in association with a prominent Bangalore-based think tank, The Takshashila Institution.
