Rodrigo Aguilar Benignos is a senior advisor at APCO, based in Washington, D.C. supporting APCO’s clients worldwide and particularly in Latin America.
Rodrigo, an experienced former government official in Mexico, provides advice and analysis on policy issues at the federal and state level in Mexico, as well as market entry and positioning support to entrepreneurs and companies wishing to start operations in several countries of Latin America. He helped and developed support programs for the Mexican Diaspora in California and Illinois, which led him to obtain the “Ohtli” award, the highest distinction from the Mexican Government in 2023 to a Mexican living abroad.
Rodrigo is also member of the U.S. Council on Foreign Relations, Fellow of the City Mayors Foundation and the Richardson Centre for Global Engagement. Rodrigo is an international strategist well recognized for developing a wide range of relevant projects that go from the release of political prisoners and humanitarian missions to projects enhancing anti-corruption measures as well as strengthening democratic institutions.
