Ramy Reda brings more than 15 years of experience to his role having worked in the private sector, diplomacy and international cooperation having worked with private companies, public and international entities in the Middle East, Africa and Europe. Ramy supports a variety of companies across strategic sectors to improve their relations with their ecosystem at local and international level, while navigating geopolitical complexities and complex global challenges.
Prior to joining APCO, Ramy advised the minister of Foreign Affairs of Egypt on technology policy, international security affairs and cooperation with the United Nations specialized agencies. Previously, he served as the alternate representative of Egypt to the United Nations and other International Organizations in Geneva. Throughout his diplomatic career, Ramy has held various key roles, including deputy chief of mission in Ndjamena, Chad, advisor to the assistant foreign minister, advisor to the ambassador of Egypt to Libya, and advisor to the secretary general of the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development (EAPD). He was also seconded to the United Nations Development Program at UNDP’s Regional Bureau of Arab States. His experience extends to the private sector, where he served in various business functions at Vodafone telecommunications.
Ramy holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Harvard University, a Master’s of Advanced Studies in International and European Security from the University of Geneva, and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from MIU of Egypt & Heilbronn University in Germany. He is fluent in English and Arabic and also speaks French on a basic level.
