Rachele Ciavarella, a lawyer by training, is a senior consultant at APCO Worldwide’s Brussels office, advising clients on EU digital policy developments and public affairs. Ms. Ciavarella specializes in developing and implementing advocacy campaigns and the use of broader communications tactics to support public policy goals. In policy terms, she works mainly on cybersecurity, data protection, cloud policy and digital innovation. Ms. Ciavarella is also involved in coordinating major global policy projects.
Prior to joining APCO, Ms. Ciavarella gained experience in the ‘Freedoms in the Information Society’ Unit of the Research Centre in Information, Law and Society (CRIDS –University of Namur) and as a blue book trainee at DG Connect (European Commission), where she was involved in legal analysis on digital advertising, data protection and cybersecurity dossiers.
Ms. Ciavarella graduated from the University of Genoa in Italy with a master’s degree in law and a specialized master in information technology and communication law from the University of Namur in Belgium. In addition to her native Italian, she speaks English and French.
