Project Consultant

Rachel Farmer is a project consultant at APCO and is based in Beijing, where she specializes in monitoring and analyzing China’s domestic and foreign policies. Ms. Farmer provides policy analysis and corporate affairs support to clients from a wide range of sectors including consumer goods, technology, and financial services.

Prior to joining APCO, Ms. Farmer worked in China’s education industry, where she oversaw the development and implementation of curricula in affiliated private schools across northern China and managed expatriate teachers. She also has previous experience at The Cohen Group, a business advisory firm in Washington, D.C.

Ms. Farmer holds a master’s degree in Chinese politics and foreign policy from Tsinghua University and bachelor’s degrees in global studies and Asian studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is proficient in Mandarin and Spanish.
