Phil Sawyer is a director and strategic communications expert with more than 20 years’ experience, including over a decade specializing in healthcare. Based in APCO’s London office, he advises senior leaders at life sciences companies, trade bodies, not-for-profits and other companies within the global healthcare system on complex policy, access and reputation challenges.
Phil’s work has spanned major developments in modern health care, including the introduction of cell and gene therapies, the Covid-19 pandemic and the growing role of AI. Phil has deep knowledge of the UK health landscape, with vast experience of navigating access pathways for medicines and other therapeutic products and has led multiple European and global health care campaigns.
