Nimati Al Emam is passionate about unpacking the Middle East, one cultural insight and opportunity at a time. She sees the richness, diversity and opportunities in the different markets and audiences, that are hidden under the blanket of generalization and misunderstanding. Nimati currently serves as Deputy Managing Director, Pomelo based in APCO’s Dubai office.

At APCO, Nimati champions business and brand consulting, campaign planning and effectiveness. Her career demonstrates the evolution of the industry and is inherently integrated. Starting off in AdLand where she learned the art and craft of insight-led creative thinking before choosing to take a turn at the PR earned intersection, where stories live and are designed for the audiences to care and share, makes her capable of enabling an effective “one shout, multiple audiences, different platforms” approach to communications and complex mandates.​

Prior to joining APCO, Nimati worked at Y&R, Ogilvy and Cheil, where she led strategic planning and the development of integrated marketing campaigns for various brands across the Middle East. Her industries of focus are telecom, technology, ICT and banking, gaining an extensive experience in brand positioning, integrated campaign planning and consumer behavior models. She joined Edelman in 2016 with the mission to inspire a thinking culture built on audience understanding and effectiveness, inserting the best of organizations and brands in relevant cultural contexts, to achieve the desired outcomes for brands and organizations.

Nimati holds a BA in marketing and an MBA with merit from the University of Kent, UK.
