A recognized leader on climate and gender issues, Nicole has been designated by APCO’s executive chair to act as Climate and Sustainability lead and deputy lead for APCO’s Center for Gender Equality, leveraging a multistakeholder approach to these topic areas. She leads major projects in this space with private sector companies and major foundations.  Her professional journey reflects a deep commitment to leveraging policy advocacy to foster global understanding and drive positive change.

Nicole is a dedicated advocate at the intersection of gender and climate, bringing a nuanced understanding of how these critical issues intertwine. She has spearheaded initiatives that address the unique impacts of climate change on women and promote gender equality within environmental policies. Nicole’s work emphasizes the importance of an inclusive approach to climate action, ensuring that solutions are equitable and empower all members of society. Her leadership in international relations and policy advocacy reflects a commitment to creating sustainable and just frameworks for addressing global challenges.

Prior to her current role, Nicole served as senior associate director and co-lead of the Advertising team at APCO. In this position she led digital strategy engagements, deploying a $20 million advertising strategy that achieved billions of impressions. She was instrumental in developing content strategies that demonstrate a robust understanding of digital and social media platforms.

Nicole holds a Bachelor of Arts in Strategic Communications from Elon University and possesses skills in team management, client leadership, digital expertise, executive positioning, project management and strategic partnerships. Among other accolades, she was awarded the Global Democracy Award by  Napolitan Victory Awards for her work on freedom of expression and human rights.
