Nawied Jabarkhyl is a media relations expert and strategic communications advisor working with major clients in the Middle East and globally. Nawied currently serves as Senior Director – Head of International Media Relations and is based in APCO’s Dubai office. In his current role, he advises government, corporate clients and senior leaders on strategies to maximize media relations impact. He also helps lead APCO Storybook Studio – a global practice offering innovative, editorially-led communications solutions.

Prior to joining APCO, Nawied spent 12 years as a journalist, broadcaster and news presenter working at some of the world’s largest media organizations in the UK, Middle East and Asia. He was a news anchor & correspondent at global news network CGTN in London as well as a Reuters’ TV correspondent in the Middle East and UK, and spent time as a producer at CNN International in Abu Dhabi.
Having covered major events, Nawied has reported on wars in Ukraine and Afghanistan; the World Economic Forum in Davos; COP climate summits; and was given exclusive access inside Saudi oil giant Aramco ahead of its IPO. He’s interviewed some of the world’s leading decision-makers, including UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, and the heads of the WTO and IEA. Nawied holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Broadcast Journalism from the London College of Communication and a First-Class (Honors) Degree in Politics & Social Policy from the University of York in the UK.
