Monique Bellamy

Monique Bellamy is a senior director in APCO Worldwide’s New York office and a member of the firm’s M&A and Competition and Technology practices.
Ms. Bellamy specializes in policy communications, public affairs, and issue management. Ms. Bellamy has extensive experience managing media relations and third-party engagement related to competition policy, mergers and acquisitions, antitrust investigations, and targeted advertising issues with global regulatory bodies.
In 2021, Ms. Bellamy launched Forty-Five Acres Communications, LLC, where she managed media and messaging development for tech startups and nonprofits on policy communications and litigation matters.
Before launching her boutique firm, Ms. Bellamy lived in California, Washington, and London while working for a multinational tech giant. She was the global policy communications lead on competition and litigation matters. Her role included being the on-the-record spokesperson, handling media inquiries in multiple media markets on regulatory inquiries focused on competition, investigations, and complex litigation.
Prior to that role, Ms. Bellamy spent nearly two decades in Washington, D.C., in both the political and agency setting. She was a vice president at a DC-based public affairs firm working on various public policy issues for Fortune 500 clients and their trade associations.
Outside of work, Ms. Bellamy served on the board of directors, including four years as chair of the National LGBTQ Task Force Action Fund, the oldest national LGBTQ organization. She also served two terms as a member of the Corporate Advisory Council of the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation.
Ms. Bellamy holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and completed some graduate work at Vanderbilt University Divinity School.
