Mohamed Bahaa is the head of APCO’s Public Policy and Government Affairs practice for the MENA region. With over 15 years of experience, Mohamed has helped over 100 multinational corporations from diverse sectors in navigating the complex geopolitical, regulatory and policy environments of the MENA region. As a co-founder of one of the pioneering public policy and advocacy firms in the region, Mohamed has played a pivotal role in shaping strategies for companies seeking to establish a foothold in the dynamic landscape of the Middle East and North Africa.
With practical experience as an entrepreneur and investor in professional services, agriculture, construction, trading, AI, energy, water desalination and education, Mohamed is uniquely positioned to assist multinational organizations across diverse industries and markets in strategically expanding their businesses. He leverages government partnerships and proactive management of policy and regulatory landscapes as growth drivers.
Throughout his career, Mohamed has collaborated with multinational organizations and policymakers to shape MENA region strategies, particularly in investment laws, tax policies, mobility regulations, data privacy and energy regulations. He has also provided market access support to international organizations across various industries.
Mohamed is a graduate of Harvard University, holding a master’s degree in finance, and also holds a master’s degree in economics and a bachelor’s degree in finance from the American University in Cairo.
