Melisa Rincon brings over 15 years of experience in corporate communications, global media relations and multicultural and multinational programs. She currently serves as a Associate Director based in APCO’s Washington office, where she leads new strategic communications initiatives for a diverse portfolio of clients in sustainability, technology, tourism and international government affairs.

Her work spans high-profile global summits and cross-border campaigns, with a strong emphasis on narrative development and issue management. She also plays a key role in preparing new business proposals and strategic communications plans for clients and prospects across Mexico and Latin America, helping to expand APCO’s footprint in the region.
Prior to joining APCO, Melisa held communications roles in both corporate and global public relations agencies, where she advised organizations on brand reputation, crisis response and multicultural outreach. She also played a key role in establishing corporate communications functions in complex, multinational environments.
Melisa is fluent in English and Spanish and is an active member of APCO’s Latin American and Hispanic groups. She is also a recipient of PRSA awards, recognizing her excellence in strategic communications and media relations.
