Maggie Harsh is a consultant based in APCO’s Washington, D.C., office with a unique background in government relations and public policy. Since joining APCO in 2022, Maggie has supported multiple crisis communications and issue management projects helping clients address complex issues and navigate reputational challenges in the public and private space. In addition to providing crisis support, Maggie assists clients with reputation management, message development, market research and media analysis.

She has counseled clients through a variety of situations including government investigations, litigation communications, product changes for internal and external audiences, and crisis preparedness planning and training. She brings experience working across a diverse range of industries from aviation, health care, higher education and food and nutrition, as well as across companies of varying sizes.
Prior to joining APCO, Maggie interned with a government relations firm in D.C., where she worked on lobbying, strategic planning and both policy and media analysis in the defense, health care and veterans’ affairs industries. Maggie holds bachelor’s degrees in political science and strategic communications from Elon University.
