An award-winning journalist, news editor, investigative reporter and commentator with a career spanning more than 20 years, Lynn Davidson advises clients from across the globe on executive positioning and strategic communications.
Lynn is a senior director in APCO’s London office and part of the Climate and Biodiversity practice, joining the firm after almost two years as direct adviser to COP26 President Alok Sharma and the senior UK COP26 Presidency team.
Prior to this, Lynn was a UK Government special adviser to former Defence Secretary Ben Wallace and to the Leader of the Commons Penny Mordaunt; in the Ministry of Defence, the Department for International Development and the UK Government’s Equalities Office.
Lynn’s previous consultancy experience was with the CEO advisory firm Teneo as a managing director based in London.
Before that she was a senior reporter for The Sun and a news desk executive at the Daily Mail. Originally from Edinburgh and with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Communication, Lynn’s first decade in journalism was spent on local newspapers and the Daily Record in Scotland where she covered crime and investigations, winning several awards.
