Luca Barberis is a consultant at APCO and is based in Brussels where he specializes in geopolitical advisory and international public affairs and public relations campaigns. Mr. Barberis works in stakeholder engagement, government relations, and strategic communications for both institutional and corporate clients. He assists in navigating complex political spectrums and supports the public and reputational positioning of clients.

He was previously working in APCO’s Rome office working on government relations and public affairs across tech, retail, and transport clients. Prior to joining APCO, Mr. Barberis was at the European Commission Representation in London working in the political and economic office on matters of trade, security and Brexit-related issues. He has previous experience working in the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine and for a think tank focusing on EU Affairs in Kyiv.

Luca also founded a bike-sharing start-up, co-founded a youth-led weekly political analysis platform, and was part of the Italian youth delegation to the 2020 G20 summit in Riyadh and supported the Italian G20 Presidency in 2021.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Politics, Philosophy and International Relations from the Royal Holloway University of London and a Master of Science in Political Economy of Europe from the London School of Economics. Having grown up and lived in several countries, he speaks Italian, English, Turkish, Spanish and basic French and Greek.
