Lisa Edwards is senior director at APCO, based out of the New York office. She specializes in journalism, video production, and media training and is a member of the firm’s Storybook team. At APCO, Ms. Edwards coordinates the deployments of Live Studio, Moments of Genius, InMotion and other Storybook offerings.

A three-time national Emmy Award winner, Ms. Edwards founded her own production company 27 years before joining APCO. She has worked on numerous Olympic Games, produced and directed award-winning documentaries and developed live and serial programming for well-known national networks.

Ms. Edwards spent seven years on the staff of ESPN, where she was involved with thousands of live news shows. She also was the first producer to take College GameDay, once exclusively a studio show, on the road to a different college campus every week.

In addition to her extensive television and video production experience, Ms. Edwards is a prolific technical writer, specializing in diverse areas such as cloud computing, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and electric vehicles.

Ms. Edwards volunteers with senior citizens at an assisted living center and has coached youth sports for many years, A certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine, she has completed six marathons and holds several nutrition certifications. Ms. Edwards has a master’s of science degree in journalism from Columbia University and double majored in history and French at the University of Virginia. She also spent a semester abroad in Aix-en-Provence, France.
