Levie Cequena is a director in APCO Worldwide’s Singapore office and leads the Southeast Asia region’s Food, Consumer Products & Retail Practice.
Ms. Cequena is a seasoned government policy and public affairs strategist with more than 16 years experience working with trade associations, MNCs and government agencies at the national and regional levels in Southeast Asia.
Ms. Cequena transferred to Singapore in 2010 to handle issues management for one of the world’s leading food companies and policy support for Food Industry Asia and subsequently the ASEAN Food and Beverage Alliance. Over the years, she has also managed the Secretariats of the European Food Law Association and Medical Nutrition International in Southeast Asia, including representation in Codex Alimentarius meetings to discuss food standards.
Ms. Cequena started her career in Manila as an associate for a local partner of Hill & Knowlton and practiced law before moving to Singapore. She finished Advocacy in International Affairs from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva and both Political Science and Juris Doctor from Ateneo de Manila.
