Kelly McPharlin is a senior associate director of digital strategy at APCO’s Washington, D.C. office. Ms. McPharlin works with clients in a variety of sectors to support their digital content efforts, including developing digital strategies across platforms and partnering with clients in developing research projects and maintaining their websites and social media properties.
Prior to APCO, Ms. McPharlin was the senior manager of content and digital strategy at the Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI), the policy and advocacy association for the nuclear carbon-free energy industry. While at NEI, Ms. McPharlin oversaw all digital properties, including a robust in-house paid content promotion program, and led the content team in developing compelling, innovative multimedia content that moved key audiences to action in support of the technology. Her experience working closely with agencies from the client side gives her valuable perspective on the importance of a strong client-agency partnership.
Ms. McPharlin received a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies from Kenyon College.
